DOCS DUN IMPRESS

DOCS DUN IMPRESS (Sadie) HYPP-NN is an older, Red Dun mare who is one our best producers.  We have had three foals out of her that have all been phenomenal.  Her foals are some of the first to sale.  She traces back to the foundation bloodlines of THREE BARS and DOC BAR and also to SNIPPER REED and IMPRESSIVE.

THREE BARS : out of 24 foal crops he sired 558 registered foals, out of those foals 29 were AQHA Champions, 90 were Halter Point Earners earning 1,544 Halter Points, 5 Superior Halter Awards, 53 were Performance-Point Earners earning 584 Performance Points, 37 earned ROMs in Performance, 435 Race Starters earned $3,277,089, 317 earned racing ROMs, 38 earned Superior Race Awards, and 14 World Champions in Racing, and 4 Supreme Champions.  He was the sire of such racing greats as GOLDSEEKER BARS, MR. BAR NONE, ROCKET BAR, THREE CHICKS, THE OLE MAN, POKEY BAR, JOSIE’S BAR, MR. BRUCE, SUGAR BARS, KED MEYERS, ST. BAR, LIGHTNING VAR, VARRED, BOB’S FOLLY, GALOBAR, BREEZE BAR, AND LITTLE LEAN’S BAR.  A cross of his daughter LITTLE LENA’S BAR with JET DECK produced the phenomenal EASY JET, his son LUCKY BAR was the sire of IMPRESSIVE.  His son STEEL BARS sired ALEDO BAR, the 1959 AQHA high-point Halter Stallion.  The great DOC BAR was a grandson of THREE BARS.  In roping, reining, and other arena events a number of THREE BARS get such as SUGAR BARS sired 30 AQHA Champions.  Another son, PAR THREE, earned a Superior at Halter and sired the great ZAN PARR BAR.  His son GAY BAR KING became a successful sire of performance horses.  STEEL BARS another son of THREE BARS earned most of his fame in the show ring.  One of STEEL BAR’s sons ALEDO BAR was an AQHA Champion and a leading sire of AQHA Champions.  The great ROCKET BAR was a leading sire of ROM Race colts.  His son BAR MONEY was shown in Western Pleasure by Tommy Manion at Denver in 1967.  He was AAA, an AQHA Champion and Supreme Champion, and a leading sire of ROM race and arena colts.

DOC BAR: known as the horse that revolutionized the cutting horse industry.  He was shown 13 times at Halter and earned 36 Halter Points.  He stood Grand Champion 10 of the 13 times shown and Reserve Grand Champion 1 of the 13 times shown.  Out of 19 foal crops 485 foals were registered with AQHA.  Out of those 485 foals 101 were Halter Point earners earning a total of 2,492 Halter Points, 207 of the foals were Performance-Point earners earning a total of 4,569.5 Performance Points.  118 of the foals earned Performance Registers of Merit, 9 earned Superior Halter Awards, 20 earned Superior Performance Awards, and 2 were World Champions.  This does not include the foals that never competed in any AQHA events but competed only in NCHA cuttings.  AQHA records don’t truly reflect his greatness as there is not an accurate count of the thousands of dollars his offspring won at NCHA events.  In 1968 the World Champion mare of the NCHA was DOC BAR’s daughter FIZZABAR.  In 1969 at the NCHA Futurity 2nd through 4th places were won by DOC BAR’s offspring.
